3D Engineering Surveys has recently been awarded the rebuild element of an ammonia and urea plant relocation from GCC to Nigeria in conjunction with our sister company ExonTech Engineering Ltd.
ExonTech had previously used its unique digital match-marking and cut-management systems to manage the plant's dismantling, enabling accurate rebuilding within the desired budget.
Engineering Surveys are completing the following scope.
Phase 1 – Intelligent Modelling
1.1 As-Built ‘Intelligent’ 3D Model
Complete modelling of equipment, equipment structures, pipe racks, cable trays, piping, supports, and related infrastructure.
Intelligent - Tagging, Labelling & Tagging of the model with instrument/equipment/valves tagging and line number, piping classes (Class 150, Class 300, Class 600, etc.), flow directions, material specifications, classes, pressure ratings, types of valves (check, gate, butterfly, flow meter, etc.)
Deliverables provided in AVEVA E3D and Navisworks formats for seamless integration with client workflows.
Phase 2 – Redesign and Documentation
As only the main equipment will be rebuilt and the destination site has different dimensions, there will be a requirement for.
2.1 Engineering Design based upon the new layout.
Pipe Routing Design.
Structural Design
Piping Support Design
2.2 2D Drawing Generation
‘Intelligent’ Isometric Drawings
Structural General Arrangement Drawings
Pipe Support 2D Drawings
Structural fabrication drawings
2.3 Stress Analysis
Detailed piping and structural stress analysis reports, ensuring compliance with international codes and client specifications.
2.4 Bill of Quantities (BOQ) Preparation
Comprehensive BOQs for pipes, fittings, valves, equipment structures, pipe rack structures, piping supports, cable tray supports, gaskets, bolts/nuts, and other related components.
