3DES Launches 'Surveying Sustainably' Initiative
Developed in line with the RICS Sustainability Practice for Surveyors Guide (June 2026), the initiative sets out practical steps our teams can take to lower their environmental footprint and leave a positive impression wherever they work.
In the office, this includes mindful energy use, responsible recycling, and keeping vehicles well maintained to reduce fuel waste. Out on site, it means protecting local biodiversity, minimizing waste generated during survey work, and reducing emissions by turning off engines when not in use and sharing transport between colleagues.
As professionals working across sensitive and often protected environments, surveyors have a responsibility not only to deliver accurate data but to do so with care for the landscapes and communities they work within.
