Our latest aerial survey delivers high-impact data to support soil nail design, vegetation removal planning, and OLE safety clearances.

3D Engineering Surveys recently completed an aerial LiDAR and photogrammetry survey of a rail cutting in the UK. The data collected will be crucial for designing soil nails and netting to safeguard the rail asset.

Specifically, the survey revealed key insights after vegetation removal in targeted areas. High-resolution photography was utilized to pinpoint potential stability issues within the slope.

Additionally, comprehensive aerial LiDAR scans were conducted across the site, distinguishing between ground and non-ground areas. This classification aids in identifying hidden concerns that vegetation may obscure, allowing for proactive mitigation measures.

The data serves multiple purposes, including assessing safety clearances to the OLE and determining vegetation removal requirements.

With over 25 years of expertise in aerial and terrestrial surveying across various sectors such as rail, electricity transmission, power generation, and oil and gas, 3D Engineering Surveys stands ready to assist with your project needs.
